The 15th National Games Ignite the Night Sky! Flying Screens Unlock Endless Low-Altitude Scenes
From August 22 to 27, the gateball competition for the 15th National Games was held at Shenzhen Universiade Center Stadium, marking the inaugural event of the Games' Shenzhen competition zone. On the evening of the 21st, our company's innovative “Flying Display” illuminated the night sky above the Universiade grounds. The transparent display floated freely in the air, projecting high-definition imagery that created a dreamlike, otherworldly spectacle. This futuristic visual experience captivated crowds of citizens and tourists, drawing them to pause and gaze upward in wonder.
The Flying Display is an original high-tech achievement independently developed by FILMBASE. Unlike the “fixed” form of traditional displays, it breaks spatial constraints to truly “send images into the sky.” Feather-light at just 250 grams per square meter and a mere 0.5 millimeters thick, the Flying Screen remains nearly invisible against the night sky while delivering high-definition display with up to 300,000 pixels and 95% transparency—like a luminous canvas in the darkness. It not only hovers steadily but also seamlessly integrates with its surroundings through dynamic light effects, creating an unprecedented immersive experience.
Beyond cheering on sporting events, the Flying Display can serve as an aerial medium to ignite atmosphere in any setting. At sporting events, it transforms into an aerial cheerleader, displaying countdowns, scores, and rallying chants—letting every roar soar into the night sky. Amidst cityscapes, it replaces traditional building advertisements, floating above CBDs, plazas, and waterfront parks to become a new urban symbol. In cultural tourism destinations, it narrates historical tales while staging naked-eye 3D light shows, delivering dual thrills of technology and culture. At concerts and music festivals, it transforms into a fan wall, projecting real-time messages and blessings from supporters onto the starry sky above. And during New Year's Eve and festive celebrations, it can even become a “celestial wishing well,” transforming the collective aspirations of the city into a sky full of starlight.
FILMBASE believes that the Flying Display is not merely a technological innovation, but a groundbreaking expression of the low-altitude economy. It transforms the night sky from a mere backdrop into a stage that carries information, emotion, and creativity. We aim not only to establish the Flying Display as a flagship of China's new low-altitude economy scenarios, but also to make it a shining emblem of “Made in China.” From sporting events to cultural tourism, from commerce to entertainment, the Flying Display is unlocking boundless possibilities. Moving forward, FILMBASE will continue to drive innovation as its engine, propelling China's low-altitude technology onto the global stage and showcasing the nation's strength in the low-altitude economy to the world.
