FILMBASE Flying Display Takes Off Again to Cheer on the Special Olympics!

Share

On the evening of July 8, 2025, as the cycling events of the 15th National Games and the National Paralympic Games concluded smoothly in Longgang, Shenzhen, FILMBASE's self-developed Flying Display took to the skies once again, soaring above the North Lake of the Universiade Park to cheer on the competitions. The flight footage showcased the thrilling moments of Paralympic athletes, drawing large crowds of onlookers and sparking enthusiastic reactions.

The Flying Display unveiled at this event surpassed the previous Guinness World Record-holding version in size. The content displayed on-site included competition footage, athletes' heroic poses, and event highlights, making it a major visual highlight of the closing night. The Flying Display slowly unfolded in the night sky, complemented by water reflections and on-site lighting, creating an incredibly immersive atmosphere that paid tribute to the spirit of perseverance demonstrated by the Paralympic athletes. Mainstream media outlets such as the Shenzhen Evening News and Shenzhen Longgang News reported extensively on the event.

The Flying Display, independently developed by FILMBASE, boasts core technological advantages such as ultra-lightweight (250g/㎡), ultra-thin (2mm), and high transparency (over 95% light transmittance). It has been granted a global invention patent (Patent No.: CN202411389517.4) and demonstrates outstanding stability, flight capability, and visual expression capabilities. Previously, it was certified by the Guinness World Records for the “large-area flying display” project and has been widely applied in urban light shows, cultural and tourism performances, public events, and exhibition scenarios, demonstrating excellent adaptability and dissemination potential.

During the event, FILMBASE's other core product—naked-eye 3D transparent media glass—was also used for the Longgang competition zone's guided tours and information display, providing viewers with a clear, intuitive, and high-tech interface for competition information, further enriching the smart viewing experience.

This debut marks another scenario-level implementation of the Flying Display product in a national-level sports event following its Guinness World Record achievement, and also signifies another phase of FILMBASE's achievements in the integration of “technology + sports” and “new materials + public spaces.”

As a national high-tech enterprise headquartered in Longgang, Shenzhen, FILMBASE has long been dedicated to the innovative integration of three new materials: architecture, display, and energy. Its products are widely applied in high-value-added scenarios such as smart buildings, intelligent spaces, transparent displays, energy-saving materials, low-altitude economy, and cultural tourism and performances, and are exported to 104 countries and regions worldwide. The company upholds the brand mission of “unlocking infinite possibilities for vision and space,” dedicated to driving the deep integration of new materials technology with urban development.

FILMBASE will continue to drive innovative applications through technology, connect future scenarios through materials, and consistently inject high-quality technological momentum into urban public expression and the integrated development of culture and sports.
