FILMBASE Flying Display Debuts at 15th National Games Theme Light Show & 2025 Shenzhen Light & Shadow Art Festival
As the 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China concluded successfully, Shenzhen's night sky was illuminated by a remarkable chapter of light and shadow. FILMBASE participated in the “Dancing Lights” themed light show with its self-developed Flying Display technology, delivering a unique urban light experience for Shenzhen, the Greater Bay Area, and the 15th National Games.

From November 14 to December 12, the special segment “Light and Shadow in Motion” of the 2025 Shenzhen Light and Shadow Art Festival debuted in Futian Central District. Utilizing a 270-degree ultra-wide-angle “skyline screen” formed by the surrounding buildings, the FILMBASE Flying Display unfurled above the cityscape. With its light and dynamic form, it became the most dazzling visual element of the entire performance.
The Flying Display transcends architectural and spatial constraints, presenting dynamic three-dimensional light and shadow displays. By integrating with building lighting and digital visual content, it makes light and shadow truly “take flight,” transforming the city's night sky into a three-dimensional canvas.
This performance unfolds across four chapters: “Dreams Awaken,” “Breaking Boundaries,” “Dynamic Leaps,” and “United Hearts.” Under the creative team's unified vision, the Flying Display serve as pivotal visual elements, projecting light and shadow across the sky to narrate the city's story.

The 15th National Games is not only a sporting extravaganza but also a vital stage for showcasing urban culture and technological prowess. For FILMBASE, appearing on this national stage represents not just a demonstration of technology but a profound responsibility. We envision the Flying Display becoming a new language for urban storytelling—where light and shadow transcend mere projection onto building surfaces to truly “hover in mid-air, sway with the wind, and connect with audiences.”
The 15th National Games have concluded successfully, and the city has returned to its daily rhythm. Yet the lights never dim. The Flying Display will continue to deliver spectacular performances for residents. FILMBASE will keep exploring broader urban spaces, bringing freer display methods, more innovative artistic expressions, and warmer technological experiences.
Thank you to every citizen and friend who witnessed the debut of the Flying Display. We look forward to meeting again under the city's night sky.
